I picked up a camera as an excuse to talk to strangers.  Somehow, that talent took me from the Midwest to Los Angeles, where I built a career photographing beauty and lifestyle.

Lately, I've realized that the work I care about lives beyond the commercial world. For me, photography is now more about preserving moments and finding the stories that connect us. Whether documenting the awe and education of travel, the emotion of a protest, the joy in a celebration, discovering my family's roots, or noticing the quiet moments most people miss... without knowing it, my camera has always been my compass.
