QUIET SPACES

Japan holds a shrouded history, yet remains deeply rooted in tradition, art, and architecture. Being immersed in such a calm and intentional culture reminds me that a space can be transformed through thoughtful, reparative design and purpose. In much the same way, culture evolves through patience, care, and intention. Just like the leaves of autumn, slowly changing with the seasons and time.

YakuShima

The land of legends

Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke was inspired by Yakushima Island. Here, nature itself felt like an artist. The ancient trees twist and bend as though sculpted over centuries. Their forms look both heavy and light as they carry stories from hundreds of years past. Standing among them, I found myself in awe of a masterpiece that needed no human hand.
